The Ethereum Foundation (EF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Ethereum and related technologies. The EF is not a company, or even a traditional non-profit. We do not control Ethereum, nor are we the only organization that funds critical development of Ethereum-related technologies. We are part of a large ecosystem of organizations, individuals, and companies that support Ethereum. Our mission is to do what is best for Ethereum’s long-term success. Our role is to allocate resources to critical projects, to be a valued voice within the Ethereum ecosystem, and to advocate for Ethereum to the outside world.
Since 2014, EF has hosted
Devcon, an annual 4-day conference which has become the oldest and most prominent event in the Ethereum community (and arguably the entire blockchain space). The event attracts developers, designers, researchers, creators, and others — many of whom are intrigued by cutting-edge technology, decentralization, privacy/security, free and open-source software, and the potential for Ethereum to change the world for the better. Production Assistant
"A place for everything and everything in its place"
We are looking for a person who can support the Production Lead and broader Devcon team in all the actions and activities related to Devcon 7 experience and production.
As a Production Assistant you’ll be handling many diverse requests that may come from our partner teams who are hosting events or from our team. We expect you to be passionate about events, attendee experience, Ethereum values, and energized by working on many different types of tasks.
This role will encompass: Supporting all aspects of event production, assisting with overseeing and managing vendors (venue, AV, translation, BTL company, catering, internet, design among others), facilitating collaboration between vendors whenever possible, having good communication, and understanding of each vendor's responsibility. Facilitating and leading some additional activities working close with the local Ethereum community might be also something required.
As the production assistant, you will need to be familiarized with the broader Devcon Team, which will be focused on all non-production aspects of the event including general operations, ticketing, website, programming, communications, sponsorships, etc.
