Overview
As VP Finance, you'll broadly oversee Dragonfly's fund-related financial matters, being hands-on in their operation, analyzing their efficacy, and advising other key stakeholders to assist in strategic decision making.
In practice, this means driving fund management, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and market practices, and managing GP accounts. You’ll also uphold a standard of excellence in mentoring our staff of fund accountants.
This position is of the utmost importance as we raise our fourth fund, and expand our licensing and capabilities. It’s a rare opportunity to set a strong back-office foundation that supports the growth of a major crypto firm as it further institutionalizes.
Responsibilities
- Take a hands-on approach in all aspects of Dragonfly’s fund-related finances
- Own fund management, including driving fund operations, payments, reporting, risk, internal control, management of external partners (e.g., auditors, fund administrators, tax experts), and banking workflows
- Ensure adherence to Singaporean regulatory reporting requirements, staying aware of developments and best practices, and assisting in securing additional licensing
- Drive GP account initiatives, including cashflow planning, payments, reporting, consolidations, and managing service providers
- Serve as an advisor to other key internal stakeholders for the purposes of strategic planning
- Mentor and be a resource to a small team of fund accountants
- Be a responsible steward of culture in Dragonfly’s Singapore office
Requirements
- CPA designation
- 10-15 years of experience as a VP Finance, Finance Director, and/or Controller
- Significant experience with asset management
- Ability to autonomously multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, with strong prioritization, delegation, and communication skills
- An inclination towards proactive and independent learning
- Open-mindedness with an innate drive to innovate
- Low ego, high cultural and emotional sensibilities, and the ability to work effectively with diverse personality types internationally
- Aptitude to skillfully give and receive direct feedback, with comfortability in speaking up
- Deep resourcefulness, and comfort navigating ambiguity and sensitive/confidential issues
- Located in (or willing to relocate to) Singapore, with the ability to work from our Singapore office
- Non-trivial understanding of crypto
Preferred
- Prior experience working in crypto, especially at a fund
- Ability to speak and/or write Mandarin

Note: The general salary range for this role is $200k-250k with the potential for additional performance-based bonuses, although we will pay commensurate to experience.
